Boardman School Television Network

Amy Radinovic, Communication Coordinator at Boardman Local Schools, and five students from BSTN - Seniors Alex Naples, Dalton Lewis, Emma Tannehill, Junior Sam Holter and sophomore Carter Cailor came in to thank Boardman Rotary for their donations of equipment throughout the last few years. They explained how helpful the new wireless telex system that rotary donated in 2019 was when it came to improving their communication at events and how much easier it was to use without having to be "plugged in". They also thanked the club for the continued support of the overall program. The students mentioned how lucky they were to have a program that prepared them and even gave them a "leg up" for college and even one day a career in TV, broadcast, or production. They appreciate all the friendships they have made and knowledge they have learned through this program. Community Check presentation-

*The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County was presented a $1,000.00 check to support the Library's summer reading program. Accepting the check on behalf of The Public Library is Rotarian, Deb Liptak.

Pancakes

Concerns for coronavirus are in discussion in regards to how it may impact our Pancake Festival Weekends. Ron advised the Club that "we" (the Club) will follow County Health District recommendations or restrictions for the assembly of large groups. At this point, no changes to schedules have been decided, but the situation is being closely monitored and will be discussed further at the next Board Meeting.

District Conference-May 16, 2020, Kent State Stark Campus. This is now a one day event, sign up is available through the District Website. (rotarydistrict6650,org)

50/50 Drawing

$17.00 in daily jackpot, prize won by Maggie Garland. The big jackpot of $310 was not won, so it continues to grow.
