Together We Can Make a Difference

The Down Syndrome Association of the Valley (DSAV) is a nonprofit serving individuals with Down syndrome and their families throughout Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Since 2007, DSAV has provided support, education, advocacy, resources, and opportunities that promote inclusion, independence, and personal growth.

In 2022, DSAV opened the Regional Down Syndrome Center for Success in Boardman, Ohio, offering programs focused on life skills, education, fitness, communication, creative arts, and more. Membership is free and open to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and anyone who shares DSAV’s commitment to creating a more inclusive community.

The Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace & Defense, managed by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), is positioning the region and the State of Ohio as a national proving ground for advanced and additive manufacturing, where ideas move from concept to market at speed and scale. Building on the long-standing expertise of regional partners in advanced and additive manufacturing, the Hub delivers the infrastructure, programs, and talent needed to transform how America manufactures.
