Rotary was busy with check presentations on Tuesday, May 12. 

 

Youngstown Student Education Association received $250 to go toward their project of renovating the EJ Blythe School in Liberty. 

 

Altrusa International received $250 for the Plant the Seed to Read Festival. 

 

 

The Greater Western Reserve Council of the Boy Scouts received $4,800 to sponsor 32 scouts for one year of scouting. 

 

Thank you to Jason Pavone of the Mahoning County Foster Parent Association for his touching presentation on the foster care system. The association, which meets monthly as a way for foster parents to meet and socialize, provides support for those who have chosen to foster children. Jason, a foster parent himself, has adopted two of the children he and his wife have fostered.
