Betty McKendry, independent senior sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics, shared some tips for success, as well as the empowering culture of Mary Kay Cosmetics, at Tuesday's meeting. McKendry, who has been with the company for 30 years, explained that Mary Kay is about more than just makeup, but began as a way to give women the opportunity to be everything they can be. The company's basic principles for success, which can be applied universally, are to find your priorities and basic principles, and put them in order; trust your instincts;have discipline in time management; be enthusiastic; be open to change; and be generous in praise and spirit.

On Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, Rotary District 6650 will host " 97 Years and a Billion Dollars Later..." at the DeBartolo Stadium Club on the campus of YSU. The event will be held in honor of the 100th Anniversary of the Youngstown Rotary Club. The event is $20 per person. It begins at 6 p.m. with appetizers and a cash bar. Featured speaker is Tom Thorfinnson, Rotary International Vice President for the 2010 - 2011 year.
